The awards recognise remarkable accomplishments in consumer protection.
Hosted by Jenni Falconer the event took place at the Houses of Parliament to celebrate individuals, groups and businesses who make “an outstanding contribution towards consumer protection in our communities or help safeguard business to ensure a level playing field.”
Adele has played a key role in the creation and implementation of the ABC+ Warranty Consumer Code, which aims to safeguard homeowners and enhance trust in the market for newly constructed properties.
Adele said: “I am honoured to be recognised by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute for such a prestigious award. It’s a testament to the work that we undertake at ABC Warranty to protect consumers whilst also treating developers fairly.
“As a long-standing advocate of promoting better building standards in the UK and addressing the cause in building defects ultimately leads to consumer confidence when purchasing homes monitored and certified by ABC Warranty.
“Thank you to everyone at the CTSI for championing consumer code standards generally. Greatly appreciated.”
CTSI’s Head of Resolution Services, Lesley Crompton, added: “Adele Reid has worked continuously to uphold the values of the Approved Code Scheme and the CTSI Business Award, and so we are proud to celebrate her contributions to consumer protection.”
